NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military rank and assignment in the District of Columbia Air National Guard . Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.

Brief Description of Duties: Fulfills the role as the Wing MICT/Self-Assessment Program Manager. Ensures that MICT and all Wing self-assessment checklists are current and completed. Provides feedback to Headquarters Air Force (HAF) and Functional Area Managers (FAMs) on checklist quality and trends. Manages all MICT and IGEMS administrative permissions within the Wing. Prepares and conducts training for Wing members on the use of MICT and continually updates and manages the Wing MICT business rules. Manages the Wing's inspection schedule and coordinates with MAJCOM and HHQ inspectiors to deconflict external inspectionsand visits. Serves as primary inspector during Wing inspection and will be directly responsible for ensuring thorough and independent validation and verification of Wing programs and capabilites. Drafts reports based on feedback from WIT (Wing Inspection Team) members, documenting and validating deficiencies. Tracks the Corrective Action Plan (CAP) with inspected organizations and assists with complaint resolution.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Ability to understand legal provisions, regulations, and administrative procedures and to apply them to specific situations. Ability to analyze narrative and numerical data, draw conclusions, and make decisions. Ability to communicate with others effectively, both orally and in writing SPECIALIZED
Experience: Must possess at least _ Thirty-six (36) months _ experience involving a thorough knowledge of inspection, investigation, enforcement, and compliance methods and techniques, special processes, test and performance requirements; and skill in developing plans and programs. Experience possessed by an expert in the area of inspection, investigation, enforcement, and compliance specialization able to give technical direction to otherwise competent workers. Experience determining compliance when difficult and questionable interpretations are found. Experience which required significant and concrete work accomplishments (i.e. special projects, working groups, or detailed inspection or investigation assignments) involving individual or organizational contacts

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
